University of the Punjab. Library

Punjab University Library is the largest public sector repository in Pakistan. Besides its general collection, it contains 46 personal collections donated by eminent scholars and intellectuals. These collections contain rich, rare material and manuscripts, and owing to them, it has become a unique research hub for scholars. It hosts nearly 20,000 paper and palm leaf manuscripts in Persian, Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Gurmukhi, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, and some South Indian scripts.
