Benediktinerabtei Metten. Bibliothek: HMML Repository
Benediktinerabtei Metten. Bibliothek
The Benedictine abbey at Metten (near Deggendorf, Bavaria) was originally founded in the 8th c. Closed in 1803, its collections became property of the state. Their manuscripts were taken to the Bavarian State Library in Munich. Since the abbey's re-establishment in 1830, it has acquired a collection of manuscript fragments and manuscripts bound with printed works. In one of HMML's final microfilming projects in Germany, 94 fragments and manuscripts were filmed.
