Universitäts Und Landesbibliothek Tirol: HMML Repository

Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Tirol

Founded in 1745, this collection contains more than one thousand codices, of which 690, dating from the 10th to the 19th c., were photographed for HMML. Many of the materials in the library came from religious houses in the Tyrol that were closed in the 18th c. Among these are manuscripts from the Carthusian house of Allerengelberg in Schnals (South Tyrol) and volumes from Schloss Ambras, on the outskirts of Innsbruck.
