Stiftsbibliothek Michaelbeuern

Not far north of Salzburg, stands this Benedictine monastery, founded in the 8th c. Although the majority of its manuscripts were carried off to Vienna and Munich in the early 19th c., 125 remain, all of which were photographed by HMML. These date from the 11th to the 17th c.
