Kärntner Landesarchiv: HMML Repository

Kärntner Landesarchiv

Of approximately 600 manuscripts comprising this state collection, 222 were photographed--including codices from the Geschichtsverein, the Allgemeine Handschriften-Sammlung and the Ständisches Archiv. Much in these collections is dedicated to historical documents and archival records from monasteries at Ossiach, Viktring, Millstatt, and elsewhere. There are also albums of coats of arms, as well as account books from the Diocese of Gurk. The manuscripts are from the 9th to the 19th c., with most being dated before 1700.
