Wilhelmsstift. Bibliothek: HMML Repository

Wilhelmsstift. Bibliothek

The Wilhelmsstift is the Roman Catholic seminary, founded in 1817, for the diocese of Rottenberg. The majority of the medieval manuscripts come from the former Benedictine monastery of Saint Martin at Wiblingen near Ulm. The monastery was founded in 1093, but the library was, for the most part, assembled between the 14th and 18th centuries. HMML filmed 61 manuscripts, dated between the 10th and 18th c.
