Zentralbibliothek Der Wiener Franziskanerprovinz In Graz: HMML Repository

Zentralbibliothek der Wiener Franziskanerprovinz in Graz

The beginnings of the Franciscan library in Graz go back to 1463 (community established in 1239). In the early 20th c. manuscripts and early printed books from nearby Franciscan houses were moved to the Zentralbibliothek. HMML microfilmed nearly all of the medieval manuscripts in this collection (14th-16th c.)--chiefly liturgical books and sermon collections, as well as other theological texts, canon law, and a chronicle.
