Servitenkloster: HMML Repository
Servitenkloster
The Servite community in Innsbruck was founded in 1613-1616 by Anna Caterina Gonzaga of Mantua, the widow of Archduke Ferdinand II. The cloister flourished in the 17th c. Like other Austrian religious houses, it was closed between 1938 and 1945, at which time it was also severely damaged. HMML microfilmed 25 manuscripts here, dating from the 13th to the 16th c., along with two 18th-c. manuscripts on the Servites.
