Maria Saal (church). Archiv Des Collegiatstiftes: HMML Repository
Maria Saal (Church). Archiv des Collegiatstiftes
Maria Saal was once a collegiate chapter destined to become a diocese. This never happened, since Klagenfurt, only six miles distant, developed and became more important. As a functional parish, Maria Saal escaped the monastic dissolution in Carinthia in 1782 and thus retained its manuscript collection. HMML microfilmed 45 manuscripts from the 14th and 15th c. here.
