Lindsay Mahowald
Lindsay Mahowald joined HMML as Advancement Data Manager in 2026. She holds a BA in Computer Science from the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota, and a MLIS from San José State University in San José, California.
Throughout her four years at the College of Saint Benedict, Mahowald worked at HMML as a student employee, primarily focusing on advancement and library services. She is experienced in software development and product management as well as librarianship including, most recently, working as a library assistant for the Great River Regional Library system in Minnesota.
In her role at HMML, Mahowald is responsible for the administration, integrity, and strategic use of HMML’s advancement database. She manages the creation and dissemination of reports and provides insights that bolster data practices. She collaborates with the advancement team and other HMML staff to support fundraising, communications, and programming.
What she enjoys most about her work: “I appreciate being able to contribute to preserving history and sharing stories that may be lost if not for the work of HMML. I am able to utilize my technical skills to assist my colleagues and discover ways to strengthen our data practices. It is incredible to be back at the place that fostered my passion for the pursuit of knowledge.”
