Project Dates
1973–1977
Between 1973 and 1977, HMML microfilmed 29 libraries and archives in Spain, largely located in Catalunya and Aragón. Work also included projects in Toledo, Pamplona, and Madrid. These collections comprise episcopal libraries and archives, with singular strengths in medieval canon law, liturgical texts, and devotional works, including those in the vernacular. Given HMML’s origins, microfilming focused also on Benedictine communities, especially the collections at Santo Domingo de Silos, Montserrat, and Sant Pere de les Puel·les.
