HMML is partnering with Bishop Jovan Ćulibrk of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Slavonia in Pakrac, Archbishop Djoro Hranić of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Đjakovo and Osijek, and other religious leaders to digitize manuscripts in Croatia and other countries of the former Yugoslavia. These manuscripts are witnesses to communities dislocated by ethnic conflict. Efforts to preserve manuscript collections that remain in situ are reminders of earlier times of greater ethnic diversity and co-existence.
